About the Role


Location: New York City, San Francisco Bay Area, or Seattle.


As Marketing Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping and executing our marketing strategy. You will be responsible for managing and creating original content (including events), managing and expanding our company's social media presence through paid and organic channels, and reflecting and elevating our brand across all channels. You will have the opportunity to showcase your creativity, strategize marketing campaigns, and explore new channels to grow our business and brand.

What You'll Do


  • Create compelling brand and product marketing content for various channels, including social media, blog, help center, email campaigns. Ensure consistent brand messaging and tone across all channels.

  • Develop and execute social media strategies to increase brand awareness, engagement, and lead generation; create and manage a consistent posting schedule for key social media channels.

  • Optimize website content for search engine optimization (SEO) and user engagement.

  • Collaborate with our customer experience, legal, tax, and product teams to develop engaging content based on proprietary data and subject matter expertise.

  • Monitor competitor activities, marketing strategies, and industry developments to identify opportunities 

  • Identify and evaluate new marketing channels and opportunities to expand our business and brand reach.

  • Be the voice and advocate for the company, embodying our brand values and personality in all communications.

  • Engage regularly with customers and potential customers across social media and other platforms.

  • Support sales function on partnerships, including partner success initiatives, co-marketing campaigns, and tracking/analyzing partnership performance.

  • Coordinate and execute virtual and in-person events, including any necessary event logistics, including registration, check-in, vendor management, etc.

  • Develop event marketing strategies to drive attendance and engagement, including promotional materials and onsite collateral.

  • Execute post-event follow-up, delivering necessary collateral or reporting, ensuring that attendees are properly reflected in the CRM, and conduct post-event analysis to measure ROI.

About You


Must Have: 

  • Stellar verbal and written communication skills, including experience copywriting and copyediting, with examples of published work (academic, known media, or personal blog/newsletter).

  • Functional knowledge of key social media channels, a proven ability to use social platforms to amplify a brand, and a strong understanding of social media trends and analysis.

  • Experience creating original content for social media (specifically LinkedIn and Twitter) and managing a content calendar. 

  • Strong analytical skills and an experiment-driven bias.

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable operating in fast-paced environment with some uncertainty.

  • Experience writing for a B2B or institutional audience, especially in the fintech or financial services space.

  • Highly creative in terms of content and overall marketing strategy.

  • Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience in a marketing, community, or content role, ideally at a start-up.

  • Authorization to work within the United States. 


Nice to Have: 

  • Experience with managing Google Analytics and SEO optimization.

  • Proficiency with marketing automation and operations tools including Hubspot, Typefully, SendGrid, and Framer.

  • A high-energy individual who is passionate about startups and venture capital.
